Visual inspection of the ear to determine medical referral.

Audiogram

An audiogram is graphical representation of a hearing test that is performed using sophisticated, calibrated equipment. A certified specialist administers the test. The softest level at which the sounds can be heard is recorded as the threshold of hearing.

Pure tone testing: Headphones are placed over or in the person's ears, and tones are presented to each ear, one at a time.

Bone testing: A bone oscillator is placed on the mastoid area behind the ear with tones being presented to each ear through the bone.

Speech Evaluation:  Recorded speech is presented to each ear via earphones,  to determine the level at which speech is barely heard 50% of the time (SRT), to determine the most comfortable level of listening (MCL) and to determine where speech becomes uncomfortable (UCL).

Live Speech Mapping & Programming

Live Speech Mapping is a fitting process that uses probe microphones and live real-time speech to allow the patient and their family members to immediately see and understand the benefits of hearing aids and fitting adjustments for proper fit.  If you are disappointed with your present hearing instruments, we may be able to fine tune them to improve your hearing and understanding.

Computer Analysis of Hearing Instruments

Using an electronic  H.A.T. box (Hearing Electronic Tester) we measure the response curves of the hearing aid to make sure they comply with factory specifications.

Computer Programming

We carry and keep current a complete line of software from all major manufacturers to program and update your hearing instruments. If you are disappointed with your present hearing instruments, we may be able to fine tune them to improve your hearing and understanding.
